River Valley Safety is a Wyoming based safety consulting company with operations in North Dakota, Wyoming, New Mexico and Texas. Amy has been working in the oil and gas industry since 2011.

Amy has a legal background, she was a corporate paralegal for a number of years before changing to occupational health and safety in 2011 during the North Dakota oil boom.
Currently, Amy is working on a Master of Jurisprudence in Energy and Environmental Law at Texas A&M School of Law.
She has worked in just about every industry: mining, heavy industrial construction, nuclear, oil and gas, refining, turnarounds and new construction of large chemical facilities, oil field, etc.
Amy's expertise is in Behavior Based Safety, the development and implementation of BBS systems. Her belief is that empowering the workers to take safety into their own hands is the key to eliminating workplace accidents, injuries and deaths. She is also well versed at researching regulations and drafting compliant HSE policies and implementation of policies.
Amy also taught fall protection for a major manufacturer. She also specializes in excavation and confined space safety.
River Valley Safety is a small company with a huge network of safety and environmental professionals. If Amy cannot provide a service you need, she can find the right professional for the task. National Safety Counsel 1st Aid/CPR/AED. Classes are limited to less than 20 and take between 6-8 hours, depending on how many attendees there are.
In this 2 day course, workers are provided with general awareness about recognizing and preventing hazards commonly found in the workplace. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational safety and health. Workers can receive additional training on hazards specific to their job. Ten hours of mandatory and optional topics will be covered. Upon completion, workers will be given a OSHA card that will show they have completed 10 hours of training.
This is a high-intensity 3 course designed to engage students and build knowledge, security and personal recognition of safety practices and prevention of on-the-job injury and illness. Students will learn to recognize, prevent, avoid, and reduce safety and health hazards in the workplace. PEC Compliance provides full or awareness level classroom instruction on more than 40 health, safety, or environmental topics.
PEC Core, Basic, Basic Pipeline, Pipeline Connect, H2S Clear, Bakken, Gold Shovel, MSTQ, Core Blend.
We can also teach a combination of an OSHA 10 and PEC Basic. Students will receive both an OSHA 10 card and a PEC Basic card upon completion of this course. Must take place over a minimum of 2 days.
This one-day course meets API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements, and provides a basic understanding at an awareness level of certain general safety information that an employee should know before while performing their assigned work duties. Upon completion of this course, employees will be given a PEC card with their picture on it and access to all of their completed PEC courses via an on-line data.

We can customize any safety training that you need to fit your company's needs. Whether it's confined space training, fall protection, excavation safety, defensive driving or MSHA training. We can help you develop a behavior based safety program that works and develop; then deliver that training. We can develop any company specific safety training in the way of weekly safety topics or monthly safety meetings; and company specific training. We also have silica awareness training.
You should plan on a full 6 hours. We will spend half the time in a class room and the other half, practicing confined space entry. After students complete this course, they will be able to be entrants only. They will not be rescue trained.
You should plan on a full 8 hours. We will spend half the time in a class room and the other half, practicing confined space entry and non-entry rescue. After students complete this course, they will be able to be entrants, attendants and supervisors. They will not be rescue trained.
This course is to make sure workers who work in or near excavations are aware of the hazards and have the tools to protect themselves. This is a 4 hour course.
Competent level training is also available and is 8 hours. Please call for details.
This course gives you the ability to properly inspect and use your fall protection equipment. It allows you the understanding of when you need to use fall protection and how to pick the correct combination of fall protection equipment. This is a 4 hour course.
Fall Protection competent person is also available. It is an 8 hour course. Fall Protection End User training, combined with Dropped Object training is available. It is a 5 hour course. Call for details.
